Critical penetralia, juxtaposes an architectural feature of a portal in a textured wall with a stationary white donkey. This series of monoprints and etchings continues the theme where female and male elements jostle to form symbolic images on the surface of the print. The penetralia of the title is an architectural term for the innermost part of a building or shrine. The critical edge or latent danger is not animal but conceptual.
